Geological and mining projects are complex projects, often involving many stakeholders, many risks and uncertainties and making use of new or unknown technologies. To be successful, these projects require a project manager with a solid understanding of the subsurface.
Based on my geological and mining technical knowledge in combination with two decades of project management experience, I can either take care of the overall project management, or support the general project manager, by taking care of the more technological parts of the project management process (technical organisation, quality, information and technical communication). In that situation the non-technical project management aspects (project planning and finance) remain the general project manager's responsibility.
